After a few short hours of research and only a few [hundred] dollars in my pocket, I chose the SportRack SR2901LR over many others. While searching for the right rack in my price range, I honed in on a few key points that meant the most to me:First, the build must be solid, secure, and functional. The SportRack SR2901LR fits both 1-1/4-inch and comes with a rubber adapter which also allows it to fit a 2-inch receiver. Now I cannot speak for the former size, but with a 2-inch receiver this rack feels very solid with two mountain bikes on it. It has little-no wobble while driving down the road, and the bikes remain solidly in place. The hitch is secured to the rack with a threaded bolt, and not a standard hitch pin. Although this can seem like a pain, it truly reduces the wobbling. Just be sure to have an adjustable wrench handy when you need to totally remove the rack. The center post with the rubberized hooks has a small amount of give, only because it is collapsible to allow access to a truck tailgate or SUV hatch. The wheel holders adjust to fit nearly any bicycle (up to 29-inch wheels), with the exception of recumbents.Secondly, what makes this model different from others is the fact it comes with a few locking features that others do not. In particular, the hitch pin comes with a lock that secures the bicycle rack to the hitch. Also, those same keys lock and unlock the adjustable rubber-coated hooks which hold the bicycles in place. Now, I won't say it is the end-all do-all of bicycle rack security, but it will give piece of mind while in a restaurant, paying for fuel ...etc., and act as a deterrent. If total security is desired, the alternative would be a cable threaded through the hitch, rack, and frames of the bicycles.Lastly, it is compact when not in use. The left and right platforms fold up vertically and lock in place. This is very handy for storage.I do have one quibble: The instructions are humorous and inaccurate at best. The rack itself is easy to assemble, and has very few small parts to it. Total assembly time was about twenty minutes. In summary, comparing racks in the same price range (Swagman being one of them): It comes with the locking hitch pin that costs extra for other models; it has an equal or stronger overall build; and has the added feature of the locking rubber-coated hooks (see customer-submitted photos). As it is used more I will post an update.****UPDATE 3/2014****Have used this bike rack for almost a year; from few mile trips to crossing state lines. There is no rust observed. It has held up nicely, and wobbles no more than the first day it was used. We have noticed the rubber-coated hooks very mildly "scuff" the bike frame. Particularly it is important to ensure there is no dirt where the hook makes contact with the bike frame. I do not see this is a design flaw; rather par the course for one soft surface touching one harder glossy surface for miles and miles. It is hardly noticeable; but for the pampering, "Type A" individual, a soft microfiber cloth suffices as an intermediary. To clean the rack after driving down dusty roads, a light spray with a hose suffices. If one is wanting to expedite the removal from the hitch (instead of having to unscrew the hitch pin), a 1-1/4-inch to 2-inch hitch adapter and a non-threaded locking hitch pin is the answer. Needless to say, I stand by my 5-star rating.
