How to Choose a freewheel or Cassette 1. Count how many teeth the smallest piece of the freewheel/cassette is, the cassette is generally 11 or 12 teeth; 2. Remove the freewheel/cassette, if there is column foot on hub, it is cassette, if there is no column foot and has screw thread inside, it is freewheel.
