The wiring gets tangled and knotted. I've spent days untangling the wireYes, the string lights perform well. In my installation I have the outlet on a timer. Unfortunately when the timer shuts off the string lights must be restarted using the remote, once the timer restores current to the outlet. So if I am away even though the timer restores electric to the outlet the string lights will not come on automatically.This is the worst set of lights i have ever seen. It would have to be pitch black dark to even see anything.These arrived tangled in the most hopeless mess ever, do not buy
