These are beautiful and look great, but there is only one problem. I wish they were steady-burning only and didn't come with the "8 modes" function which is just downright annoying. I don't want my lights to flash or flicker, I just want them to burn steady from dusk to dawn. That option is not available. You can set them to come on at the same time every night for 6 or 8 hours, but not for all night long, which is what I was really hoping for. I typically use a timer with dusk to dawn capability for my lights, but because of the way these lights were made with the 8 various functions, they will not work on a timer because it resets to the first function (flashing) every time the timer clicks them on. I can't find a way to make it work with the dusk to dawn feature without having to go out there every night and click the program button 7 times to get them to burn steady. That is the part that is disappointing. Otherwise, they are beautiful and look very nice.I like how they brighten up my front porch. I DO NOT like that they don't stay on the function that I chose. You have to set it every time you turn them off & then back on. I don't remember if that was stated in the product description, but it should be. That would have made me reconsider my choice.I thought these were really pretty but I had to return because I'm an idiot that didn't realize 30feet is way too long for the space that I intended these for. I didn't realize until halfway through unraveling but thankfully the seller accepted my return. If you need these to run across a roof, hallway, ceiling or another appropriate lengthed space, get them. The purple is stunning!Cleaned the gutters for the last time after putting these up. I can see where water made it's way into most of the lights and caused a bit of rust to start. Yay.. I paid extra for the warranty, but so far they are still working properly. After that, they survived 50mph winds and still work! They're kinda stuck in the gutters in some spots because of the wind, but they are all still working! I'm happy with this purchase!So what should have taken a few minutes took forever untangling these lights. It was so tangled out of the box that at multiple times as it looked like a loop rather than one long strand. It was infuriating at times. The key is to untangle one end and slowly work your way to another…might be easy said than done and do not cut any of the zip ties btw. After spending way too long, I got all three strands up on the house and I have to say, they are a huge upgrade from our last lights. They are bright and vivid and the modes are awesome. 5 stars for the lights themselves, but 1 star for the untangling which is how I got to 3 stars on this product.A little tangled, but once unwrapped and hung, it delivered bright light with effects, exactly as advertised.Beautiful lights. But after an hour spent of putting them up, a section decided to stop working after 10 minutes of being on. Very disappointing.Love these lights! They are bright and have several different light patterns. The timer is convenient as well. They are super easy to link together and there were no gaps in the lights between the strands. We linked 3 together for the front of the house. I really love the look of these. I will be buying more for the side of the house.We bought two strands of lights to use outdoors over the Holiday Season. The two strands connected easily with each strand being equally bright. Our remote did not work (on both strands) so we had to leave the lights as "always on" used with an independent timer. Overall the lights were bright and looked good. Took the lights down today and noticed that they are showing a lot of rust (see photo) after only two months outdoors with partial weather protection. These lights should not be rated for outdoor use or expect to replace them after only a few months!Did not come with remote. Review is asking for remote control review? Anyway lights work but not built to last. Up for 2 months and everything all rusted as pictured.These are beautiful, I set them up inside my 8' x 8' canopy on my deck and they were all the way around. Lovely to sit outside when it's dark outside but nice and cheery inside the canopy.ordered these for a friend. shes one of those people whoalways has some kind of holiday decorations up....easter,halloween,christmas,etcShe LOVES themLook like what I expected. Only things that I don't like are; rust has already started to appear in the led's there is no off option when choosing the light pattern. The only way to turn off is unplug. Overall they are not bad.
