Product did not come as described and shown in photos or like other customer photos. Just came bundled together with no spool to wrap back. Main reason I bought this was for the spool. Otherwise good lights and qualityadds bling to the flower arrangementGreat purchase, I highly recommend.I just got these about 3 hrs ago and i strung them while plugged in and they wont turn on. at first i thought maybe i have to click the mode button so ive been trying a combination of things but it just wont turn on. im really upset because i really liked these and i just spent all that time stringing them.Long led light for multi use including for tree lighting around Christmas. I installed them on my trees but the are not bright enough compared to traditional lights maybe 50% bright as in pictures. But they use less energy.Great value. Super long! Love all the settings! Warm white. Be careful unravelling! The manufacturer makes it so the end of the strand is the start point for unravelling but you can’t very well string your tree like that… The start point needs to be the plug-in end. Recommend you pick up a spool to wind and store these lights after We decided to carefully unravel the whole thing first and then re-wrap it on a spool so that the start point was the plug end. After that the whole process was very easy and they look amazing. Gone are the days of dealing with dead strands of incandescent Christmas lights!Was going to give these a 4 or 5 star review but now I'm not. Here's why:These lights shipped with a plastic spindle that was so brittle that is shattered coming out of the box. Which in turn made the lights tangled while trying to deploy. Once I finally untangled and deployed they looked awesome. That was about 1 month ago. In the short time it's been since then the lights have since stopped working and I noticed rust everywhere along the string of lights. These lights are supposedly rated IP44 which means they are supposed to be waterproof enough to have been deployed in my yard and garden. I have attached photos showing the rust and one that has no rust to see what I am talking about. I wish I could get my money back.= = = = = ** UpdateI really liked these lights, but I'm dropping the rating from a solid 5 stars to 2 at the end of their first Christmas season. I'd have dropped right down to 1 (or 0 if that was an option), but the lights DID work and look great throughout the season. However, when I took them down to pack them away for next year, more than half of the bulb strands have suffered water penetration inside the housing. This means the bare wire is rusting where it is stripped to connect to the LED (picture uploaded) and so I have zero confidence these will work at all next year.Too bad, as these were my favourite outdoor strand. Not suitable for a West coast rainy winter though in my experience.= = = = = Original review belowWhen seeing a listing for a light strand of 328 feet long, its a little hard to picture how much space that actually takes when packed up. To help, the box dimensions are roughly 9" wide x 9" long x 4 " high (23cm w x 23cm l x 10cm high). Once removed from the box, you will find all 328 feet coiled on a plastic reel, and there was not a lot of wasted space in the box. All in all, a very manageable size for storage from year to year; I'm going to re-wrap the strand on the provided plastic coil and put them back in the box for storage when I take them down.I placed my lights outside for the Christmas season along my driveway, which has assorted greenery ranging from about 2 feet high x 3 feet wide all the way up to about 6 feet high x 6 feet wide. The 328 feet of cable gave me good coverage on these shrubs for about a 20 foot run. I could have gone further if I'd given each plant less coverage, but I found the amount of lighting when spread over 20 feet to be just right for my taste. Installation was a breeze; I put a short length of pipe through the coil and simply walked along my desired path, pulling carefully and fine tuning the arrangement as I went. While the cable itself is fairly thin (thinner than the LED strands I am used to from previous years), I never felt like I was going to damage it. The light strand is IP44 rated, so should stand up to the winter rains we see here on the West coast.The strand I chose was warm white, which has a more subdued effect than the cool white LED strands purchased in previous years. This year I have both installed, and the two shades are a nice contrast to each other. What really makes the new light strand stand out are the built-in effects, easily selectable by pushing a button on the power adapter unit. As a bonus, you don't have to select the pattern each time you power the lights on and off, as the strand remembers which pattern you selected last and powers up with the same sequence active next time its powered on.Very happy with this purchase so far; I wish you could plug multiple strands together for even more installation convenience, but not a big deal. Next year, I'm thinking of going even a little more Griswold with multiple strands set to different patterns!They have not been up for very long, but they look great and at for the cost, I expect they will be worth it if they can last a little more than one season.I purchased 2 lengths of 100m and have them installed outside in northern Ontario.-They provide a nice light (not much usable light but enough to sort of see the driveway at night).-easy to unravel the 100m spool-controls are easy enough to figure out-should be fairly simple to put back on the spool at the end of the season.-best available option for stringing a very long section of lights.Just ordered 2 more lengths.This is an entire huge reel of lights, so it's quite hard to manage. I was able to go around my huge deck twice and along the edge of the house and I still had lots left. I ended up just leaving the rest of the reel in a corner. Its a great value, but take my word, unless you have a 50 foot outdoor tree, don't get it for an indoor tree. I tried a second roll on my 7.5 foot tree and it was way too much to manage on the reel. After an hour I had only cover a foot and retreated. Ended up going to get regular strings of lights at the hardware store. They are a nice warm colour and if you have a project they are a great deal, just be sure of your needs lol.
