I had a set just like this that I'd owned for several years. The fuse box was broken when I bought it, and didn't seal in one corner, but I use the lights inside in a window, so it didn't matter to me. Unfortunately one of my metal decorations touched the box after I plugged it in, and the whole thing exploded. I bought these to replace them, and they are so much nicer. The fuse box is in one piece, they don't tangle as badly. They still tangle. Hanging lights like this are known for that. It used to be a half hour project to untangle them every year. These I think will shave ten minutes of my detangle time. And the flash options are nicer. They're so beautiful once they're up. Risky work the effort. Nice and bright. Porbably best for indoor use still.
